MEMBER NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS




SATV SUMMER HOURS :

During the summer months, SATV will be open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the following Saturdays only:

June 12th and 27th
July 10th and 24th
August 14th and 28th

Regular Saturday hours will re-commence on September 11, 2010. Please be sure to take note of these time changes and plan your equipment reservations accordingly. SATV will also be closed for the entire day on Monday, July 5th.




PRODUCTION OPPORTUNITIES :

Summer's here and there are a ton of events taking place throughout the city that would translate to great TV programming for SATV. Free summer concerts, city celebrations and the upcoming Heritage Days events are all great events to cover. The production of these events helps SATV bring them to an audience that might not have a chance to see them live.

Members are encouraged to stop by SATV to inquire about these events and to learn how to get involved.




FIELD EQUIPMENT ISSUES :

Recently, we've been noticing a lot of damage being done to field cameras, tripods and other equipment. What's worse, is that a lot of it is going unreported. Please remember that if a piece of equipment is damaged and you don't report it, you're hurting SATV and the other members who want to use the equipment. Even the smallest of problems may impede performance.

If every member can treat the equipment as if it were their own, I'm sure we'd have fewer of these problems. Remember also that ONLY current trained, certified SATV members may operate SATV equipment.
